While in Arizona, Danny's sister mentioned that Garrin, his nephew who is a pro snowboarder, would teach everyone to snowboard on Saturday. So, even though we didn't bring our gear - we gladly got prepared to spend the day on the slopes.
Here are some pictures of the hour drive up to Sunrise Ski Resort! Just beautiful!
Look at the snow bank!! I was out of my element for sure! The resort had gotten 24 inches the night before, which just added to the feet they already had!
And yes, on the way to the slopes the temp ranged from -2 to 10 degrees!! When we got to the ski resort it read 8 degrees... but the end of the day it managed to get up to 26! Sad when that feels warm! :-)
When we got there we all snowboarded (a first for Tad and Jared who usually ski.) Since Garrin was going to give instruction we decided to have everyone try it for the day. Here is Garrin (in yellow) running us all through some instruction.
